No. Many top state agriculture universities (PAU, TNAU, ANGRAU) conduct their own exams or use state CET scores. ICAR AIEEA is primarily for central agricultural universities, IARI, and ICAR institutes. Apply to both national and state exams.
Government jobs: Agriculture Officer, Bank PO (agri background helps), ICAR Scientist. Private sector: Agribusiness, seed/fertilizer companies, food processing. Starting salary: ₹3-5 lakh (private), ₹4-7 lakh (government). Rural development has strong demand.
ICAR AIEEA is significantly easier than JEE/NEET. Competition ratio is lower (around 3:1 for good colleges). Biology-heavy syllabus aligns with NEET preparation. Many NEET droppers transition to agriculture successfully.
