How NEET UG Rank is Calculated

NTA ranks all candidates solely by their total marks out of 720. No board marks or normalisation — your NEET score is the only factor.

Total Marks = Physics (180) + Chemistry (180) + Biology (360)
All India Rank = Position when all students sorted by marks (descending)
Percentile = ((N − Rank + 1) / N) × 100, where N = Total candidates appeared

Ties are broken by Biology marks, then Chemistry, then Physics, then by age (older candidate ranked higher). NTA 2025 had a tougher paper where the highest score was 686.
